The Talarius Core Mechanic
The Talarius System's core mechanic is used to resolve actions within the game.
The mechanic enables fast, intuitive play.
Any time you want your character to attempt an action that has a chance of failure, you,
as the player, work with the Game Master to do the following:
1) Determine the number of successes (Target Successes or TS) required to perform a task
2) Determine your final skill score relevant to the task, including any modifiers.
3) Roll a d100.
4) You gain one success for rolling equal to or less than your skill score, plus one additional
success for every 10 points that you roll below your skill score.
5) If your Total Number of Successes meets OR exceeds the TS, you have performed
the task successfully.
