Creative Commons License
Here at Talarius Gaming we encourage people to play in our Omniverse and have always been committed to open gaming and the tabletop community. We want our game masters, players and fans to share the game with their friends, write fan fiction and fan art, create websites for their campaigns (such as World Anvil), post their house rules online (either here on our site with accreditation going to you or some other site), publish netbooks based on their personalized settings (we can host any links if you like), create crossover systems for running Legends of Kralis using other published (or home-brewed) rules sets, or even mesh Legends of Kralis with other favored crossover worlds. Our goal is continue creating great materials for players and game masters. Through this Creative Commons License the intent is to allow publishers, gamers, etc. to freely create and publish TTRPGs compatible with and using the rules from the Legends of Kralis, Talarius Game System and to market them as compatible to Legends of Kralis TTRPG/Talarius Game System. How do I properly attribute LEGENDS of KRALIS in my work?
You must include the “powered by LEGENDS OF KRALIS” logo on the bottom right-hand side of the front cover. It must be discernible and legible at normal full-screen viewing size, but does not need to be large and should not be the primary logo or title on the cover.
In addition, you must include our boilerplate language within the first three (3) pages of your book, in at least 8-point font in all advertisements and other marketing materials:
(a) Legends of Kralis Logo ©
(b) This game product is powered by LEGENDS OF KRALIS TTRPG ™, a trademark of Talarius Gaming and Publishing LLC, in the USA and other countries. Used with permission. Original text content of LEGENDS OF KRALIS TTRPG is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 4.0 Unported License. LEGENDS OF KRALIS Logo, content and original artwork are copyright © 2016–2024, Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC unless otherwise specified.
In the Product Description field when setting up the title on DriveThruRPG or other Publishing Sites, you must include: Requires LEGENDS OF KRALIS TTRPG from Talarius Gaming and Publishing. Compatible with Legends of Kralis TTRPG.
Game Rules
The only rules you you may reference are the ones in the Legends of Kralis TTRPG SRD and published supplements from Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC.
All content must be compatible with the Legends of Kralis TTRPG and its supplements as published by Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC. Generally, if it’s already printed elsewhere, you shouldn’t need reprint it in your work. As a content publisher you may duplicate content from the LokSRD, the free online version of Legends of Kralis that includes nearly all the rules content in the Legends of Kralis TTRPG. Everything from character creation, core game rules, creatures, items, artifacts to everything else from the LoKSRD may be duplicated, in part or in full as you need. You can create and publish additional rules, settings, supplements and if you want self-contained games that are powered by Talarius Game System/Legends of Kralis TTRPG. Which means you can add to or modify the rules in the SRD that best suits what you want to do.
Settings
You may create your own settings, or publish non-setting-specific products.
You may create content for use with the following setting(s): World of Kralis.
In all of the above cases, you must indicate compatibility on the cover with the words “Compatible with the [setting name] campaign setting” and include “Requires the use of [product containing the campaign setting] from Talarius Gaming and Publishing” in the product description on Publishing Sites.
We may allow use of other settings published by Talarius Gaming and Publishing in the future, but at this time no other settings are available for use.
Art
YES! Art can be used from Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC. You may use artwork included in art packs available from Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC. When using this artwork, you must credit the artist and Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC.
Can I sell the content I create?
Absolutely, content publishers (referred to as creators; not fan based creators) can make money from their published community content – or make it freely available (it is entirely up to you). For example, any retail sales should be split between the creator (i.e. you), your preferred preferred Publishing Site (DriveThruRPG, Lulu, etc.). You set the price. Which could be free or otherwise. While Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC., does not require any royalty. Should you choose to send any monies to Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC., we would be grateful. Any funds forwarded to us you offset the cost for the art, any editing and other development that has happened during the creation of the game.
If you make content and sell it on your PATREON account you must still attribute Legends of Kralis TTRPG and Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC in your work (See Above).
You may also use Legends of Kralis rules within a virtual table top application so long as you attribute Legends of Kralis TTRPG and Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC as the rule set and the IP property.
You may also distribute FAN-BASED content (See Below) for free so long as you indicate this in your product.
Who owns the work I create?
You do! Legends of Kralis was and is created by a single individual and indie developer, as such Talarius Gaming and Publishing, LLC encourages and support creators, and will make no claims or demands about your original work. This means if you make something for the Legends of Kralis TTRPG, you are free to do so and you own the rights for that specific work. You are still required to follow the appropriate attribution within your work.
